#055 - Ficlets!

Defying Gravity
Glee

Finn stood by the door, stunned into silence as the sound of Kurt’s soprano voice soared into every corner of the auditorium, filling the space with a song of hope. He’d had no idea of how... passionate the boy could be about a song.

A Battle of Steel! .... er, rather, Wood.
Hetalia

They faced each other, swords drawn, simply waiting for an opportunity to strike, and there–! The furious clashing of wooden spoons caught and held the attention of everyone in the cafe, the sheer skill displayed being absolutely captivating for the customers. The battle went on until the sous-chef walked back in, and was whacked on the head by a stray strike. The two combatants were soon subdued, heads were knocked together, and order was restored. But none would soon forget the day when England demanded a rematch with France over honour lost a century ago. At least it made for good publicity.

The Ancient Ones
Hetalia

Just a small, dysfunctional, atypical family. That was all they were. But something stronger than it all held them together, kept them loving each other despite all the fights, the harsh words, the petty disagreements, but they stayed together.

Time itself couldn’t tear them apart, and neither could distance, because they would always, always find their way back. As time went on, the family grew, and grew, and some of them vanished, but they weren’t really gone, because everybody knows that a Nation never really dies.

But when they fought, when they went to war, the ground would shake with their might, the power of their strikes shattering mountains, carving out valleys. They would move the seas, harness the wind, and call down lightning. Deadly yet benevolent, violent yet pacifist, they are the truest dichotomy anybody would ever know. Dead yet living, life and death, mother to their people.

 Bamboo

They made their home in a small valley hidden by thick groves of bamboo, their sanctuary, a place of peace. High in the mountains, it was remote and inaccessible, and that was perfect for Komui, who only wanted to raise his baby sister far, far away from the pervasive influence of the Black Order, whose actions had claimed the life of his mother and father. All he wanted was to have a few years with her, get to know her, keep her safe. Unfortunately for them, the Black Order found them, and dragged little Lenalee away.

So, here's four little drabbles, purely for the sake of keeping my journal updated. Yay!
