I SIGNED UP FOR NANOWRIMO. I AM OFFICIALLY AN IDIOT.

It's two and a half days out, I still don't know what my novel is going to be about, I have five days of school left, and my FINAL EVER SCHOOL EXAMS START IN SIX DAYS.

I am panicking, to put it mildly. Schoolwork avoidance policy will not help me pass!

MY ANCIENT HISTORY ESSAY OF DEATH.

I had a massive breakdown over it, and cried on the floor of my bedroom for a while. I'm so glad that it's all over and done with, now.
All I have to do is survive the next three months, and I'm free! ..ish

So. I've finished my last oral ever (it was an ancient history one), and I have a biol assignment due.

Next week, I have QCS, and then the start of exam block on the friday, that runs to the next thursday. I only have four (technically five, but that's splitting hairs), and in that time I also have to shoot and edit a promotional video for another subject.

I'd like to know more about... well, everything. Especially things like IT and Ancient History. Biology too, as I'm a magpie with facts and science and stuff.

I have issues with a disorder of the psyche that causes me to have issues with staying on a subject, and I often bounce around fandoms and subjects like a spastic hyperactive rubber ball. For people who know me, this can be extremely exhausting and annoying, but this burning desire for knowing often leads to stimulating and vigorous conversations about many different subjects, so... If you have a question, fire away!

OH NOES. So far behind it isn't even funny. MASSIVE SPAM OF POSTING IS NOW NECESSARY. However, schoolwork and QCS preparation have been raping my spare time to death, and when I'm not doing those, I'm doing housework. So, I'm really really sorry, but... deal with it.

So. Pressure's starting to mount. The dreaded QCS test is drawing ever closer, I'm beginning to drown in my schoolwork, it's the middle of fucking winter, and the WESTERLY WINDS HAVE STARTED UP, making going outside nigh on suicidal, as the temperatures drop up to twenty degrees celsius (!) when the wind chill kicks in, even if it's a sunny day. Wait, no, especially if it's a sunny day with not a cloud in the sky. Dammit.

In other news, we got our practise QCS tests back, and... Multiple Choice (MC) wasn't too bad, Short Response (SR) was fucking horrific ~~GO AWAY UNCLE FRED~~, and... I got a one on the Writing Task! I don't even know how that happened. I'm gonna post it later... buuuut I have to pick a Friends-Only Banner, because I'm fine with people reading my fanfics, but I'm really really massively ~~terrified~~ paranoid of people stealing my original fiction, mainly because I put so much effort into it, so I'm going back and F-locking all my original fics.

I'll put up a new post with more info later today, probably around 6PM-ish (GMT+10.00).

Apologies for such fail in keeping with updates. However, something odd happened today.

Background: I had a spirit following me for a while, and I dubbed him Fourteen, in respect to d.gray-man. He hung around for about a month, and I eventually got used to him appearing in reflective surfaces. He was dressed finely, in the outfit of a Victorian gentleman, and with the manner of one as well.
I also have inherited some measure of the Sight from somewhere in my extensive family tree, allowing me to see glimpses of spirits, and very rarely, of the future.

Fourteen stayed around, and he and I got along famously. We'd chat and compare memories, and I was saddened when he vanished one day. That was a while read: a few months ago, though, and now he’s back. And I don’t know why. Slightly freaking out. He’s not talking to me, either. He used to be quite chatty, and so this... new development is worrying me quite a bit. I can’t shake the feeling that something has happened to him in the time that he was away. I’m not quite scared, but... Perhaps concerned is the better word.

Anyway, don't be too alarmed.

OHAI.

So I survived Exam block. Now all I have to do is get through the next week and a half.

FML, QCS.

Well hai thar. I'm currently in Biol, and am bored out of mai braiiiiiin, and so decided to give you an update as to where I am in life.

I'm about to head into my third-last exam block of high school, and am facing a Biol, Ancient, and two French exams, as well as French listening and an English oral. The week after that, I have an ITS major project due (It's on creative writing, funnily enough), and then I have a QCS mock exam. So, there is only one acronym that I can use to sum up my situation.

I have a bit of backlog in really old stuff that I'll post... sometime... maybe soon-ish... but I'm probably not going to post much new stuff until the holidays, which, praise be to ceiling cat!, are only three and a half weeks away! And I have a month off! YAYAYAYAYAY! *flails madly with ~~joy~~ GLEE*

So. Wait, and ye ~~will~~ ~~might be~~ ~~probably will be~~ maybe will be rewarded with new stuff. Adios!

I don't think the government should have the right to censor the media, however, the media need to learn to recognise when they have taken things too far, and step back. This is really the reason why I will watch only the ABC news I live in Australia, as they take all care to try and report news with as little spin or bias as possible.

The censoring of the interwebz, on the other hand, should, I believe, be done by parents, on a house-by-house basis. Oh, I realise that the government reallllly does want to be our nanny, looking over our shoulder at any given moment, blocking what they think is bad, but I believe that the vast majority of people think that this is a crap idea.

Block porn? Imagine the uproar! Sure, some sites should be deleted FOREVAAAAARRRRRR, but that is because they are genuinely disgusting and scarring and terrible. The government needs to realise that people make their own lifestyle choices, and that they (the bureaucrats) can't change that.

On a related tangent, last night I got lost in fandom, for the first time in a long while. I just sat down, hunted through el jay, ended up on capslock_bleach , went to aizome ‘s journal, went down a few different tangents, and ended up on ship_manifesto , where I read a Glee manifesto on the ship of Winn (Will/Finn), and then I found fanfiction. Hilarity ensued, as did the wasting of my evening, coincidentally. As a result, I am now a hardcore Winn shipper. Also, I stalked devART and ganked loads of Renji ~~pr0n~~ pics, stole icons of Stephen Fry <3 , and read another manifesto on the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (Kyon/Haruhi). MOAR HILARITY.

These are various fragments from a fic I'm trying to get restarted on. It's an AU set in modern day NYC, and... yeah. I'll see if I can find the rest of it, since I quite like the beginning that I have written.
